Sarah Kocherhans

Dr. Sarah Kocherhans is the Associate Director of the University of Utah Reading Clinic (UURC) in the College of Education. She holds a B.A. in English, an M.Ed. in Reading and Literacy, and a Ph.D. in Literacy, Language, and Learning from the University of Utah. Sarah has experience in the K-12 and university classrooms, with experience as a paraprofessional, 3rd grade teacher, and an instructor for the University of Utah. In addition, Sarah is a WRS Level II Certified Wilson® Practitioner. Her scholarly interests relate to vocabulary and effective reading interventions for adolescents. Sarah has publications in Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, The Reading League Journal, and Reading Psychology, and has presented at national and international conferences.
